A new named storm has emerged in the Atlantic. The National Hurricane Center said Sunday, Sept. 20, that Tropical Storm Fay formed in the northern Atlantic Ocean about 450 miles southwest of the Azores. Fay had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and was moving north-northeast at 5 mph. No coastal watches or warnings were in effect.
