Whippany Man, 35, Found Lying Next To Crashed Mercedes Benz Dies: Police A 35-year-old Whippany man was killed in a car crash on Route 202 in Branchburg on Tuesday, Feb. 18, authorities said. At 10:08 p.m., officers responded to a single-car collision at Route 202 and Whiton Road and found a 2024 blue Mercedes Coupe overturned, Branchburg police said.  The driver was located lying on the ground next to the vehicle, police said. NJ Woman Left Child Locked In Vehicle At Wegman's In Below Freezing Temps: Police A 42-year-old Rockaway woman was arrested and charged on Monday, Dec. 23 after leaving a child unattended, locked in a vehicle, authorities said. Officers responded to Wegmans at 34 Sylvan Way in Whippany and found the child locked in the vehicle, the Hanover Township Police Department said. The high that day was 27 degrees. Tatiana Petrina was charged with child abandonment and released with a court date, police said. The child was unharmed during the incident, police said.

Officers initially responded to a report of a gunshot wound at the Red Carpet/Scottish Inn 1255 Route 10 East, Hanover Township police said. It was determined the victim was not shot, but struck in the head with a handgun and robbed, police said. Following an investigation, three people were arrested, police said.
