Bayonne Man Struck Police With Motorcycle: Authorities A 32-year-old Bayonne man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Jan. 8 with striking an officer with his motorcycle last month. On Friday, Dec. 20 at 1:36 p.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Kennedy Blvd. and 31st Street when they saw a motorcycle with a fictitious New Jersey registration, Bayonne police said. Newark Man Stole Cooking Oil From Diner: Bayonne Police A 45-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged after he took cooking oil from a Bayonne diner on Saturday, Jan. 4, authorities said. At 10:21 a.m., officers responded to the Broadway Diner to 1075 Broadway on a report of a man, later identified as Josh Liggins, striking an employee after he was confronted over stealing cooking oil, Bayonne police said. An investigation led to Liggins' apprehension in Newark, police said. Liggins was charged with robbery and transported to the Hudson County Corrections and Rehabilitation Center, police said. .

Man Drove Drunk, Left Scene Of Crash: Mount Olive Police A 42-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested and charged on Friday, Jan. 10 after he drove drunk and left the scene of a car crash in Mount Olive, authorities said. Atlantic City Teen Filmed Throwing Cats: Police An 18-year-old Atlantic City resident was arrested after video showed him throwing cats in the air, authorities said. On Sunday, Dec. 1, officers received a video showing Ericxon Santos picking up a cat and throwing it up in the air, sending it crashing to the ground, Atlantic City police said. Police were unable to locate the cat, but found additional video footage of Santos throwing a different cat into the air on a different date, officers said. Services Set For Avenel Driver Killed In Carteret Crash Cristina Flores, a 34-year-old Avenel woman is being remembered for her vibrant spirit after she was killed in a car crash in Carteret on Saturday, Jan. 11.
