Ejection, House Struck In Horrific Maywood Crash An occupant was ejected when one SUV hit a house and another a utility pole in a fierce collision in Maywood, authorities said. One of the vehicles was knocked onto its side in the crash at the corner of East Passaic and Elm streets around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16. Two Teaneck men -- 28 and 20 years old -- were in one vehicle, responders said. A 25-year-old Bogota woman was driving the other, they said. The blaze apparently ignited on the second floor of the 2½-story, $1 million wood-frame home on Walton Street just off Jones Road shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13.
