A suspect is at large after they tried to break into a home at knifepoint on the evening of Thursday, Feb. 27 in Evesham, authorities said. At 9:36PM, officers responded to a residence in the Willow Ridge Development for the report of a physical altercation in progress, Evesham police said. The homeowner said an unknown suspect armed with a knife had entered their home in an attempt to rob them, but fled out of the rear door upon police arrival, officers said. Daily Voice has exclusively obtained the mugshot of 31-year-old Matthew Hertgen, a former Wesleyan University soccer player accused of murder in his brother Joseph Hertgen's death. Hertgen's charges were announced Monday, Feb. 24, by Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, following the Saturday, Feb. 22 death of 26-year-old Joseph Hertgen in Princeton. AG Names Knife-Wielding Pennsauken Man Killed By Haddon Township Police Officer
Authorities identified the Pennsauken man who was wielding a knife when he was shot and killed by a police officer. Keith Edelin, 46, was named as the man who died in the shooting, the state Attorney General’s Office said in a news release on Friday, Nov. 8. The shooting happened in the Westmont section of Haddon Township on Sunday, Nov. 3. Five Teens Robbed Man With Large Knife At Atlantic City Casino, Police Say
Five teens are accused of pulling a knife on a man and robbing him at an Atlantic City casino, authorities said. The five boys from Atlantic City were arrested on Friday, Aug. 9, the city's police department said in a news release on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
