Thunderstorms Possible Saturday in South Passaic

Friday’s mild weather and sunny skies will give way to fog tonight and a chance of thunderstorms by Saturday afternoon in Bergen and Passaic counties, according to to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service reports that the region could experience thunderstorms Saturday before seeing sunny skies on Sunday.

Friday will be mostly sunny, with temperatures falling to around 60 by 5 p.m. and winds 8 to 10 mph. There will be areas of fog after midnight. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 51.

On Saturday, there will be a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 3 p.m., with a high near 63. The possibility of a thunderstorm is likely before midnight, with a low of around 36. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

Sunday will see a return to mostly sunny skies with a high near 46 and a low of 32.
