Wood-Ridge Firefighters Douse SUV Blaze
Firefighters doused an SUV blaze in a Wood-Ridge High School parking lot. School was out way before the 6:30 p.m. fire on Hackensack Street. There was no immediate determination of the cause of the fire, which broke out in the vehicle's engine compartment. No injuries were reported. Wood-Ridge High Teacher Who Sexually Assaulted Teen Has License Revoked
A Wood-Ridge High School math teacher who had sex with a student from when she was 13 until she was 16 had his teaching license revoked by the The New Jersey State Board of Examiners. Gary Minervini of East Rutherford held a teacher of mathematics certificate of eligibility with advance standing and teacher of mathematics certificate prior to the revocation at the board's May 24 meeting. He had been working at Wood-Ridge High School when he was arrested in 2016 and accused of having an inappropriate relationship with the teen while she was his student, according to a press release. A Wood-Ridge High School junior got the police in on his proposal. WRHS junior Jake had his wrestling coach and local police officer Tim Janz pull him over Friday evening with Julia in the passenger's seat (see video above). Fit Cops: Wood-Ridge Patrolman Works Midnight Shifts To Coach HS Wrestling
Sacrificing sleep and a social life for four months of the year doesn't bother Wood-Ridge Police Officer Timothy Janz. Wrestling is his passion and he'd give up just about anything to help others looking to follow a similar path.
