A bicyclist who was struck and killed last week by a New Jersey State Police car driven by a department veteran with a deep history of social work was identified by authorities as 59-year-old Raul L. Diaz of Long Valley. Diaz was struck on Willow Grove Street (Route 604) outside the Hackettstown Senior Housing Development off Brook Hollow Drive in Warren County an hour before sunrise on Monday, Feb. 5. NJSP Sgt. The National Weather Service says parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania could see more snow than what was initially predicted due to a shift in the storm track. A 23-year-old Nebraska man and registered sex offender was recently arrested and charged after he sent sexually explicit texts to an 11-year-old girl in Warren County while posing as a 13-year-old boy, authorities said. A 42-year-old truck driver from Texas was arrested on Route 80 in Warren County on Tuesday, Jan. 23 after police discovered he was carrying 301 lbs. of marijuana, authorities said. State Police at the Knowlton Weigh Station discovered the massive haul after they obtained a search warrant following a commercial vehicle inspection, Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer said.
