Man Struck, Killed By Commuter Train In Clifton
A man was struck and killed in Clifton on Wednesday by a Rockland-bound commuter train, authorities confirmed. NJ TRANSIT Main Line Train #1113 had left Hoboken at 11:45 a.m. and was about to pass the Clifton station when the man was struck at 12:17 p.m. June 21, NJT Senior Public Information Officer Kyalo Mutumba said. Witnesses said the man was extricated and CPR was conducted, to no avail. There were no reported injuries to the 50 or so customers and crew onboard, Mutumba said. Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train At Jersey Shore
A male was fatally struck by a train over the weekend at the Jersey Shore, NJ Transit officials confirmed. The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was struck by a North Jersey Coast Line train just before stopping in Spring Lake around 3 a.m. Sunday, June 4, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. None of the eight people on board train No. 4795 were injured. The train had departed Long Branch at 2:42 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Bay Head at 3:22 a.m.

Pedestrian Killed By Train In Union County, Delays Reported
Delays were reported on NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line Sunday morning, March 26 due to a pedestrian having been fatally struck. The RVL train 5515, which left Newark Penn Station just before 9:40 a.m., struck the pedestrian around 9:50 a.m. on Galloping Hill Road near the Roselle Park station, NJT officials said. A woman was hospitalized after being struck by an NJ Transit train Saturday, March 4 in Morris County, officials said. The woman was struck at Convent Station in Morris Township around 2:30 p.m. by Morris & Essex Line train 6926, NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith said. The train was set to arrive at Penn Station New York at 3:39 p.m. There were no injuries reported to the approximately 150 customers or the crew on board at the time. Victim Struck By Freight Train In Paterson Suffers Broken Leg
A freight train injury in Paterson sent an unidentified victim to the hospital, responders said. The person victim suffered a broken leg when hit by the CSX train in the area of Lafayette and East 16th streets around 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, they said. The victim was conscious and alert when taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center with a fractured femur, responders said. CSX police were investigating. A witness said a young man was playing chicken when he was struck and killed by a freight train overnight in Dumont. The victim was pronounced shortly after midnight Thursday, Sept. 1, after being struck by the southbound CSX train at the Madison crossing about 20 minutes earlier. A witness told responders that the young man ran across the tracks trying to beat the train but didn't make it, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the incident said.
