Serious Pedestrian Crash Changes Traffic Patterns In Parsippany: Police
A serious crash involving a pedestrian created several traffic changes in Parsippany during the investigation that followed on Sunday, Oct. 9, authorities said. The crash caused a Rt. 10 West closure at Rt. 202/Littleton Rd., cutting off northbound traffic to the intersection from Morris Plains near the Stop and Shop area, Parsippany Police said in a 9:20 a.m. update. Traffic was detoured for several hours onto Rt. 10 east, while Rt. 202/Littleton Rd. South was closed at Gatehall Drive for the investigation until shortly before 1 p.m., police said. Jack-Knifed Tractor-Trailer Jumps Median On Route 80
A tractor-tractor jackknifed and jumped the median on Route 80 in Paterson overnight Saturday. The mishap left the trailer on on side of the highway and part of the rig on the other part near westbound Exit 58 around midnight. Two lanes were temporarily closed on the eastbound side and one on the westbound. An ambulance took the driver to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening. Firefighters summoned a hazardous materials unit to tend to a fuel spill.

: Clifton Firefighters Rescue Woman, 73, From Car Trapped In Flood
A 73-year-old woman whose car was flooded during a fast-moving storm was removed by firefighters Wednesday afternoon in Clifton. Tipped Rig Dumps Load Of Mulch Near Bergen-Rockland Border
A dump truck spilled a load of mulch Monday afternoon near the Bergen-Rockland border, toppling a utility pole, yanking down power lines and spilling fuel. Brookside Auto & Towing sent a heavy-duty wrecker to Rockleigh to right the rig after the Piermont Road mishap. New Milford sent its Hazardous Materials Unit to handle the fuel spill. The driver appeared unharmed.

Tractor-Trailer Downs Lines, Pole In South Hackensack
SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A tractor-trailer snagged power lines in South Hackensack on Friday, yanking down a utility pole with them. A PSE&G crew was repairing the damage at the corner of Huyler Avenue and Wesley Street. A stretch of Wesley Street and part of the intersection were temporarily closed.
