Suspended Driver Arrested In Valentine's Day Nutley Hit-Run That Killed Paterson Man: Cops
An arrest has been made in a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a 22-year-old Paterson man and injured another person. Dhkir Robinson, 42, is believed to have been behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck Winston Perlaza and a second victim Wednesday evening, Feb. 14 on Milton Avenue in Nutley, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II and Nutley Police Chief Thomas Strumolo said. Perlaza was taken to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and pronounced dead soon after, Stephens and Strumolo said. A second pedestrian was also taken to a local hospital for non-fatal injuries…

US Marshals Nab North Jersey Home Burglar: Police
A 42-year-old man was captured with help from the US Marshals Service in connection with a recent home burglary in North Jersey, authorities said. Julio Ponce, of Clifton, is believed to have gone into a Nutley home on Monday, Oct. 9, on Raymond Avenue, and taken a woman's purse from a tabletop around 10 a.m., while she was showering, Nutley Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo said. Body Of Belleville Man Recovered From Waterfall In Nutley
The body of a 57-year-old Belleville man was recovered from under a waterfall in Nutley, according to police. A witness called police to report the body under Third River along Kingsland Street on Friday, Dec. 2, Nutley Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo said. The man's body was identified after a recovery effort. His body was taken to the Essex County Medical Examiner's Office. Police in Essex County are hoping that a Minnesota man's second burglary in a month arrest will be a lesson to other criminals. UPDATE: A man and woman were taken to separate hospitals following a domestic incident and brief standoff that sent two Nutley schools into lockdown on Wednesday.
