Driver Found Asleep At Wheel With Drugs, Lyndhurst PD Reports
Lyndhurst police found a local motorist blocking a resident's driveway asleep at the wheel with LSD and other drugs, authorities said.
Responding to a resident’s 2 a.m. call over the Labor Day weekend, Officer Matt Dudek found the Chevy sedan still running with Kevin DeMuro, 28, in the driver’s seat, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said.
Also found in the vehicle were eight tabs of LSD, five strips of Suboxone and one Ecstasy pill, he said.
An exam by a drug recognition expert led to charges of driving under the influence, as well as various possession counts, Auteri said.

Busted Again: Rockland Driver, Passenger Caught With Meth, Smack, More, Mahwah PD Says
Mahwah police found a Rockland driver and his passenger carrying meth, heroin and more during an overnight traffic stop, authorities said.
It was the second time in months that they arrested Yisroel Lieberman, 24, of Spring Valley and Natalie Shein, 30, of Brooklyn on drug charges.
The first time, as with this week's bust, began with a motor vehicle equipment violation, police said.

Authorities: Fleeing NYS Buyer Leads Pursuing Paterson PD To 6,600 Heroin Bags, Gun, $32,800
What began as a Paterson police pursuit of a fleeing New York State drug buyer led to the seizure of 6,660 heroin folds, a loaded gun and $32,800 in proceeds, authorities said.
Paramus and New Jersey State Police joined in chasing down John A. Garulli, 34, of New Windsor on the northbound Garden State Parkway, Paterson Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.

A man and woman from Newark had an illegal handgun with a large capacity magazine as well as ecstasy and Suboxone when they were pulled over for a violation in Hanover, authorities said
Antoine Watson, 31, and Shadeekah Moon, 37, had controlled dangerous substances in plain view when they were pulled over in Hanover Aug. 30, Chief Mark D. Roddy said.

Police: Ex-Con Had Kilo+ Of Heroin, Three Guns, $15,000 Cash In Lyndhurst Street-Drug Factory
Police from different counties teamed up to seize more than a kilo of heroin, three guns and nearly $15,000 while arresting an ex-con who they said operated a drug factory at his Lyndhurst apartment.
Abdur Rahim-Jamal Smallwood, 42, also had a pound and a half of pot, more than six ounces of cocaine, dozens of Suboxone strips and a small bag of Ectascy (see photos above), they said.

Paterson PD Street Sweep: Hookers, Johns, Buyers, Sellers, Pounds Of Drugs
PATERSON, N.J. – A series of strikes by Paterson police over a nine-day stretch produced dozens of arrests – including 22 accused hookers and 11 alleged johns – along with the seizures of nearly 5 pounds of pot, more than a pound of heroin and crack combined and various other drugs.
Nearly all of the heroin was packaged for sale, as was some of the crack, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.
