Englewood Ex-Con Caught With Stolen Gun: Rochelle Park PD
An Englewood ex-con who was sentenced to probation just two months ago in connection with an assault was caught by Rochelle Park police with a stolen -- and loaded -- gun, authorities said. Officer Chris Kiszka stopped a Honda Accord on Essex Street around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, because passenger Zachary Anderson, 31, and two of his companions weren't wearing seatbelts, Police Capt. An uncontrollable Yonkers man causing a disturbance at an Old Tappan residence was carrying a stolen firearm, a ghost gun and more, authorities said following his arrest. Miguel DelRosario, 27, was taken into custody by Sgt. Eugene Wilkins and Officer Andrew Kim on Monday evening, Dec. 4, Police Chief Joseph Tracy said. Tinted Windows, Pot Smoking Lead To Gun Arrests In Newark: Police
Nearly a dozen people were arrested and 8 guns seized over the weekend in Newark, in what Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose attributed to "great, proactive police work." A number of the arrests stemmed from investigations into routine offenses, including a cracked windshield. Christopher Hanley, a 36-year-old Fair Lawn man, was pulled over Friday on Pine Grove Terrace. Police said Hanley agreed to a search of the car after police spotted drug paraphernalia, which led to the discovery of an illegal weapon.
