Shock spread through Paterson following the news that a popular 62-year-old street vendor died on Tuesday May 7, two days after he was shot. Police responding to Broadway and East 24th Street just after 10:20 a.m. Sunday, May 5 found Daryle Robinson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Suicidal Man Hospitalized After Walking Into Route 46 Traffic: Responders
A suicidal man was hospitalized after responders said he deliberately walked into Route 46 traffic in Little Falls early Monday afternoon. The 33-year-old man, who they said spoke only Spanish, was struck near the Browertown Road exit -- apparently after some type of domestic incident -- shortly before 1 p.m. May 6. He was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson with serious bodily injuries. Little Falls police interviewed witnesses, notified the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and were seeking area surveillance and cellphone video.

State and federal authorities captured a 23-year-old fugitive from East Orange who was wanted for shooting a woman on New Year’s Day in Paterson. It was just before 5 a.m. this past Jan. 1 that the 25-year-old victim from Prospect Park arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center via private vehicle. Shooting At Notorious Paterson Street Corner Wounds Out-Of-Towner, 42
Another shooting at one of Paterson’s most dangerous street corners sent a 42-year-old Newark man to the hospital. Shots rang out at Godwin Avenue and Carroll Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 15. As officers were arriving at the scene, a private vehicle was taking the victim to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center with non-fatal gunshot wounds, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi said in a joint release Tuesday. Valdes and Abbassi didn’t say whether any suspects had been arrested or identified.

An emotionally troubled man died after jumping from a moving SUV on Route 287 over the weekend, New Jersey State Police said. A 24-year-old dirt bicyclist was struck and killed on a Clifton street just below Route 46, authorities confirmed. A 2007 Honda bike driven by the as-yet unidentified rider collided with a Honda CRV at the corner of Lakeview Avenue and East 11th Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, they said. Hackensack Woman, 71, Suffers Severe Head Injury At Fair Lawn Venue
A 71-year-old Hackensack woman was hospitalized with a severe head injury after she took a bad fall at a Fair Lawn catering hall, authorities said. CPR was conducted on the unresponsive victim after she tripped and hit her head on a stool while dancing at the Craftsman shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, April 6, Police Sgt. Eric Eleshewich said. She was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson. Fair Lawn EMS and St. Joe's ALS responded along with borough police, who reviewed video of the accident.
