Covid-19: Six States Removed From NY/NJ/CT Quarantine List, Puerto Rico Added
Travelers from six states have been removed from the COVID-19 joint quarantine list of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
California, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, and Ohio were removed from the Travel Advisory List on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Puerto Rico was added to the list.
The quarantine applies to any person arriving from a state with a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a seven-day rolling average or a state with a 10 percent or higher positivity rate over a seven-day rolling average.

Travelers from five states have been removed from the COVID-19 joint quarantine list of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
This marks the first week since the list was started on Thursday, June 25, when eight states were initially named, that no new states with high COVID positivity testing rates have been added. However, one new territory has been added: Guam.
The five states removed on Tuesday, Aug. 25 are Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Maryland and Montana.

Cannabis Edible Sales Surge Amid Coronavirus, Report Says
Here’s a first: More people who are legally buying marijuana products for recreational or medicinal use during the coronavirus pandemic are choosing drinks and edibles over smoke, a study shows.
Comparing sales from March 7-31 to the more than nine weeks before it, “cannabis-infused beverages jumped from 1% of overall sales to 14%, beating ‘flower’ sales, which is unheard of,” marketing firm Headset reports.
Edible sales grew the most, by 28% percent, it says.
Meanwhile, sales of pre-rolls and topicals dropped by 13% each, Headset reports.
Users are clearly stocking up, experts say.

Parasite In McDonald's Salads Sickens 163 People In 13 States
The foodborne outbreak linked to McDonald's salads is growing.
A total of 163 people have now been sickened across 13 states after eating salads contaminated with a parasite, Cyclospora.
McDonald's has stopped selling those salads at some 3,000 restaurants, all located in Midwest states: Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, West Virginia and Missouri.
McDonald's said it stopped selling salads at impacted restaurants "until we can switch to another lettuce blend supplier."

Nebraska, Kansas Regulators Take Over Wood-Ridge Company's Nursing Homes
State regulators in Nebraska and Kansas have taken over 36 nursing homes after its Wood-Ridge parent company failed to make payroll in those states, according to recent reports.
Skyline Health Care, LLC, owned by Joseph Schwartz on Marlboro Road, owns nursing homes in Arkansas, South Dakota, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Florida -- and three in New Jersey.
Twenty-one nursing facilities and 10 assisted living facilities were placed by authorities in Nebraska, and 15 skilled-nursing facilities with 845 patients were taken over by courts in Kansas, according to statements issued …
