Drunk Man Shot For Leaning On Car In Elizabeth: PD
A very drunk man was shot outside of an Elizabeth parking lot because another man was upset he was leaning on his car, authorities said. The vehicle was parked in a lot near North Avenue on Spring Street, Elizabeth police spokeswoman Ruby Contreras said. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his ribcage around 2:50 a.m. Sunday, April 30, and was hospitalized in stable condition. Shooting Shuts Wawa In Elizabeth (

A Wawa store in Elizabeth was closed for a shooting investigation Saturday, April 22. A man was shot in the knee after a fight broke out inside of the Spring Street store around 4:45 a.m., Elizabeth police spokeswoman Ruby Contreras said. He was uncooperative but stable at University Hospital, Contreras said. There were no other victims. The suspect fled and store was closed for investigation.

Authorities on Tuesday identified a victim shot in Prospect Park more than 36 hours earlier as a 23-year-old Middlesex County woman. The Fords victim was shot shortly before 3 a.m. Monday, April 10, at North 9th Street and Haledon Avenue, near the Paterson border, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Prospect Park Police Chief Ammen Matari confirmed early Tuesday evening. Two men and a teenager were wounded in a shooting at a Passaic park Monday evening, April 4, authorities said. Responders found a 26-year-old Passaic resident, 22-year-old Passaic resident, and a 15-year-old child all having suffered gunshot wounds near Gregory Avenue and Madison Street in Passaic, around 7:40 a.m.,Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Man Shot Outside Hudson County Costco Store
A man was shot outside of a Hudson County Costco store this weekend, authorities said. The 61-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his leg around 7 p.m. Friday, March 17, near the Bayonne Costco on Goldsborough Drive, Bayonne Police Capt. Eric Amato said. The victim was taken to an area with the non-life-threatening injury. The incident remains an active investigation and anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Bayonne Police Detective Bureau at 201-858-6925.

Passaic Man, 21, Shot In Leg
A 21-year-old Passaic man was shot in the city Sunday night, authorities confirmed. The victim was shot in the leg on Martha Place between Monroe and Madison streets shortly after 10:30 p.m. March 12, responders said, adding that four shell casings were recovered. The victim was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman said. Newark police seek the public's help locating two people wanted for questioning in a shooting. Michael Wojcik, 32, and Ayanna Gonzalez are wanted for questioning about the shooting that occurred on Feb. 15, according to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé.
