Police responding to a motor vehicle crash in Jersey City found a man shot dead in the head. Beyond that, not much has been publicly shared. Shock spread through Paterson following the news that a popular 62-year-old street vendor died on Tuesday May 7, two days after he was shot. Police responding to Broadway and East 24th Street just after 10:20 a.m. Sunday, May 5 found Daryle Robinson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center where he died, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes said. One man was killed and another wounded in an overnight shooting Tuesday up the street from New Jersey City University. Police responding to a 12:45 a.m. April 30 call on College Street said they found the injured man with a bullet wound in his arm and the dead man near Audubon Avenue. Shooting At Notorious Paterson Street Corner Wounds Out-Of-Towner, 42
Another shooting at one of Paterson’s most dangerous street corners sent a 42-year-old Newark man to the hospital. Shots rang out at Godwin Avenue and Carroll Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 15. As officers were arriving at the scene, a private vehicle was taking the victim to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center with non-fatal gunshot wounds, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi said in a joint release Tuesday. Valdes and Abbassi didn’t say whether any suspects had been arrested or identified.

: Montclair Officer, Suspect Both Shot In Exchange Of Gunfire, Prosecutor Says
A police officer and suspect were both injured in a shooting on Monday, April 15, authorities said. An individual in a residence began shooting at a police officer on the 100 block of Forest Street, Thomas Fennelly, a spokesman for the Essex County Prosecutors Office said. The officer was hit but was able to return fire, striking the suspect, Fennelly aid. The officer and suspect were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Fennelly said. The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating, Fennelly said.

Three victims were wounded and two suspects were reported in custody following an overnight shooting Saturday on Jersey City's west side. The trio arrived in a private vehicle at nearby Jersey City Medical Center after the midnight April 6 shooting on Lexington Avenue between Kennedy Boulevard and Bergen Avenue. One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting at a bridge over the Passaic River, authorities confirmed. Responding officers found both city residents show in the neck and legs near the North Bridge Street bridge shortly before midnight Wednesday, March 13, they said. UPDATE (March 27): A Hoboken man was charged with murder and aggravated assault in a triple shooting in Jersey City earlier this month. Authorities confirmed on Wednesday, March 27, that Joseph Del Valle, 36, was arrested by members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit the day before.
