: Third Dog Burned By Ridgefield Park Vet Could Be Worst Case Yet
A report of a third dog being burned by at the Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital could be the worst case yet. This time, the vet says 12-year-old Stella was burned by a heating table that had lost its sensors -- not a heating pad -- according to emails obtained by Daily Voice. The miniature Australian shepherd was burned so badly during a dental procedure on December 1, 2017 that her coat might not ever grow back, owner Shawna Early said. Sources: Investigators Eye Dogs Burned At Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital
RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. -- Bergen County authorities were investigating instances of dogs being burning during treatment at the Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital, Daily Voice has learned. Officials at the Bergen County SPCA said they couldn't confirm or deny the report. Under scrutiny, sources said, is how Dr. Paul Kim handled the dogs who were burned at the animal hospital. Daily Voice reported cases of two dogs whose owners said were burned by Kim. The first case reported was Cooper, an English bulldog who suffered burns from a heating pad during ACL surgery in January. The dog had been tr…

Bobby Lombardo told Daily Voice that he asked veterinarian Paul Kim not to use the heating pad during ACL surgery on the right leg of his Rottweiler, Harley, nearly five weeks ago. When he left the hospital, he said, he made sure to check Harley's body for burns -- having heard that another dog was burned during the same procedure in December. Lombardo said he found a burn that looked identical to that dog's burns on Harley's right hip. The first …

Dog Suffers Third Degree Burns From Heating Pad At Ridgefield Park Vet
UPDATE: Investigators are eyeing two dogs burned by a heating pad at the Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital. For Cris Repoles, there's nothing worse than seeing her bulldog Cooper suffer. That's why she took him to the Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital in the first place. But Repoles says the past three months have been nothing but pain for both herself and the dog, who suffered third-degree burns from heating pads during ACL surgery at the vet in December. To make matters worse for Repoles, head doctor Paul Kim initially treated the burns as skin allergies, as they looked similar to the condi…
