19: 2nd Bergen County School District Goes All-Remote Until January
A second Bergen County school district has extended its all-remote learning period until January 2021. The Wallington Board of Education made the decision during its meeting on Monday, after schools had been closed for two weeks to mitigate cases within the community. Hybrid learning was expected to resume on Jan. 19, 2021, Wallington Superintendent of Schools Dr. James J. Albro said Tuesday in a letter to parents. 19: 2nd Bergen County District Delays Classroom Learning Until 2021
A second Bergen County school district has delayed classroom learning until 2021 due to COVID-19. Englewood schools were set to reopen Nov. 9. Superintendent Robert Kravitz, however, told parents that remote learning had been extended until Jan. 19, NorthJersey.com reports. Kravitz said nine students had tested positive for the virus or were quarantined. The Garfield School District was the first in Bergen County to delay in-person learning until January 2021. Boonton (Morris County) and Newark schools also postponed classroom learning until next year due to the virus.

Another North Jersey school district has closed all schools until January 2021. COVID-19 is taking its toll on schools in Bergen County's Pascack Valley. Westwood Regional Schools announced Sunday evening that all schools in the district would transition to remote instruction.
