Continued Flooding Closes Paterson Schools For Rest Of Week
Students at Paterson Public Schools will not be returning to school until next year. The school district announced schools will be closed Thursday, Dec. 21 and Friday, Dec. 22 as the city continues to deal with the devastation of weekend flooding. Schools have been closed since Tuesday, Dec. 19, following an early dismissal on Monday, Dec. 18, as numerous streets in the city were closed due to several inches of accumulated water. School will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2. The district said the school calendar will be updated to ensure students get 180 days of instruction.

Paterson Public Schools announced all schools will be closed again on Wednesday, Dec. 20, as the city continues to deal with the devastation of weekend flooding. Drowned Paterson Teen Had Bright Future Ahead, Those Who Knew Him Say
Naz'ier Randolph had more to accomplish, those who knew him say. The 15-year-old Paterson boy drowned last weekend while swimming with friends in the area of the Great Notch Reservoir off Old Rifle Camp Road on Garrett Mountain. His body was recovered Sunday morning, leaving his friends and loved ones in a state of disbelief. Paterson Schools Extend Remote Learning To March
Paterson Public Schools will be holding classes virtually until March.
