Paterson Gunman Charged In Deadly Shootout Held Pending Trial: Prosecutors An arrest has been made in a shootout that left one man dead over the weekend. Uvaldo Mora, 28, is accused of exchanging gunfire with the 33-year-old man at Straight Street and Park Avenue around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said. The 33-year-old man was struck in the head and throughout his torso, and died at the hospital.  Meanwhile, Mora was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon. WHO IS HE? Police Try To ID Man Found Shot Dead Behind Paterson Library Authorities were trying to identify a man found shot dead in the street behind the Paterson public library. Responding officers found the body on Van Houten Avenue between the library and the Edward W. Kilpatrick School shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora said. Man Killed In Paterson Shooting Thursday Identified A man found shot to death on a Paterson street early Thursday morning is a 42-year-old resident of the city, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said. Marco Bishop was found near 968 East 25th St. around 1:30 a.m. by police responding to a call reporting a dead body in the street. Bishop, who was pronounced dead at the scene, had been shot, authorities said. The prosecutor’s office and Paterson police are asking the public for information about Bishop’s shooting. One Dead In Paterson Shooting The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said that one person was shot and killed early Thursday morning in Paterson.  The person was killed sometime before 2 a.m. in the area of 21st Avenue and East 25th Street.  The prosecutor's office said an autopsy is being carried out Thursday.
