The 2021 Buick Encore was headed west on the highway when it crashed near southbound Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday, June 8, Police Lt. John Behr said. : Firefighters Free Trapped Driver After Tractor-Trailer, Pickup Collide On Route 17
Firefighters extricated a heavily trapped driver after a tractor-trailer and pickup truck collided on Route 17. Hasbrouck Heights firefighters were assisted by their Wood-Ridge colleagues in freeing the female pickup driver following the crash behind the Bendix Diner shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17. The driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center. Nickās Towing removed the vehicles. Northbound Route 17 was temporarily closed at Franklin Avenue during the operation. Heavy-Duty Wreckers Remove Tipped Garbage Truck From Jammed Route 17
A group of heavy-duty wreckers was needed to right and remove a Hasbrouck Heights garbage truck that landed on its side on Route 17, jamming traffic. A load shift apparently was to blame. The borough driver was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure following the crash on the highway's northbound side at Malcolm Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, responders said. A driver was hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision near the Meadowlands, authorities said. The 41-year-old Bloomfield resident told East Rutherford police was headed south on Route 120 when the crash around 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 6, Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. SUV Plows Through Front Of Route 17 Dunkin' Donuts
A driver was treated for glass in his head after his SUV plowed through the front of a Route 17 Dunkin' Donuts. No other injuries were reported in the crash on the southbound highway near Biggie's, just after Division Avenue, around 2 p.m. A building inspector was requested to determine the extent of structural damage. Police rescued the occupants of an SUV that rolled 50 yards off Route 17 into a ditch next to railroad tracks in Carlstadt. Both refused medical attention after the Sunday afternoon crash, Detective Sgt. John Cleary said.
