Police in one New Jersey beach town have released bodycam footage showing the arrest of a 28-year-old California surfer, which went viral on Facebook earlier this week. Belmar Police Chief Tina Scott released the 6-minute video of Liam Mahoney's arrest captured on Officer Braswell's body-worn camera on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Scott said police had received multiple complaints regarding surfers illegally entering the beach across the dunes throughout the week. Former NJ Child Services Caseworker Admits Collecting Kid Porn
šØš£ššš§š: A 57-year-old former caseworker for the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency admitted collecting images of victims as young as toddlers being sexually abused, federal authorities said. Female Inmate Dies In Hudson County Jail
The death of a 38-year-old female inmate at the Hudson County Jail is under investigation. The woman was found lifeless inside of her cell around 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Officers and onsite medical personnel immediately rendered aid to the woman and she was pronounced dead at approximately 7:34 a.m. The woman was a Union County inmate being house at the Hudson County Correctional Facility. A 58-year-old stabbing suspect was hospitalized after being shot by police responding to the incident in Hudson County July Fourth, police said. Jesus Suazo hurt the victim during an argument before police were flagged down on 23rd Street and Bergenline Avenue in Union City around 7:50 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Inmate Dies Of Suicide At Cumberland County Jail, Authorities Say
An inmate in the Cumberland County Jail died of suicide earlier this week, authorities said. The 54-year-old man was found unresponsive in his cell around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, according to a release from the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate at the Cumberland County Jail in Bridgeton. Hudson Prosecutor: Cash Recovered During Investigations Goes Missing
An internal affairs investigation has been launched at the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office after cash recovered in several different cases went missing, authorities announced Tuesday. All of the missing cash had been recovered from scenes and was being temporarily held for safekeeping, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
