Paterson Detectives Nab Teen With Loaded Gun
Paterson detectives chased down a 17-year-old boy who was carrying a loaded handgun with a high-capacity magazine, authorities said. Investigators specifically working a “gun suppression” detail approached members of a group who were drinking and blocking the road at the corner of North Main and Arch streets shortly after 9 p.m. when the teen bolted, city Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said. Paterson Police Seize Loaded Handgun, Shotgun Blocks Apart
Paterson police seized a pair of loaded guns barely an hour and a dozen blocks apart. Uniformed officers and Detectives Yamil Pimienta and Mohammad Bashir approached 15 or so people drinking and playing loud music near several double-parked vehicles on Lawrence Street outside Montgomery Park shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, Police Director Jerry Speziale said. Paterson Police Chase Down Ex-Con Home Invaders Who Kicked In Woman's Door, Seize Gun, Drugs
"They ran out the back door," a frightened Paterson woman told responding city police officers after two ex-cons bashed in her front door, looking for money.
