An off-duty Jersey City police officer was hospitalized after being beaten by a group of 10 men in a racially-motivated attack over the weekend, authorities said. The 42-year-old white officer was bleeding form his head and face when his colleagues were flagged down near Grove Street and Newark Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. Police: 2 Hospitalized In Morris County Crash On Route 23
Two people were hospitalized with injuries following a late-night crash on Route 23 southbound in Morris County, police said. The crash occurred near West Parkway in Pompton Plains around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Capt. Kevin Nelson told Daily Voice. Two people were hospitalized with unspecified injuries, Nelson said. The road was shut down for several hours following the crash, which remains under investigation.

A man and his two children were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries when their ski lift chair fell 15 feet to the ground at Camelback Mountain Sunday. Man Assaulted, Robbed Of Cell Phone At Jersey City Mall, Authorities Say
A 43-year-old man was robbed of his cell phone and assaulted outside a Jersey City mall Wednesday afternoon, according to police. The man struggled with the thief, who assaulted him and ran off with his cell phone near the entrance of Newport Mall at approximately 4:15 p.m., Jersey City police spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Wallace-Scalcione said. Additional details about the incident were not immediately available.

Two Injured In River Edge Rollover
Two victims in a Saturday rollover crash in River Edge were hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, responders said. Both got out of the sedan before firefighters arrived at the intersection of Continental and 7th avenues around 4:45 p.m. The River Edge Volunteer Ambulance Service and Hackensack University Medical Center BLS took them to HUMC. Nine people who had been vaping in New Jersey -- mostly North Jersey -- were recently hospitalized with breathing problems that required ventilators, health officials said.
