Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking photo doubles for "Happy Gilmore 2," with filming scheduled in New Jersey next month. Golf Spectators Needed For 'Happy Gilmore 2' Filming In West Orange
There are still roles to fill in the sequel to cult classic "Happy Gilmore" ahead of an upcoming shoot in New Jersey. A recent casting call is seeking golf spectators for the Adam Sandler film. The notice says extras will be portraying 2000s golf spectators on Sept. 24 in West Orange. Actors are needed for about 10 hours of work, or $176. Those who have already worked on the film should not apply. "Happy Gilmore 2" has been spotted filming all across New Jersey, most recently in Hackettstown. The movie will be streamed on Netflix. 'Old Soul:' Cops ID Driver, 29, Killed In Crash On Passaic County Golf Course
Police have identified the 29-year-old driver killed in an early-morning crash Tuesday, Sept. 3. Gregory B. Fales, of North Haledon, was heading west on Parish Drive in a Subaru Impreza when he left the roadway, hit a split rail fence, and overturned into the adjacent Passaic County Golf Course property just before 7:30 a.m., Wayne Police Kt. Skylar Cauceglia said. Fales was found unresponsive and unconscious in the car before he was pronounced dead at the scene. NJ High School Vice Principal Dies Suddenly, 54
Edward "Ed" Forman, a Montclair dad and the vice principal of Boonton High School, died suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to his obituary on the Moriarty Funeral Home website. He was 54 years old. A letter sent to the district by Boonton Public Schools Superintendent Thomas Valle said that staff learned of Forman's passing just after gathering to begin the new year. A golf course located next to a former Playboy Club was vandalized in Sussex County on Saturday, July 27, authorities said. Vernon Mayor Anthony Rossi posted a video on Facebook of the vandalism at Great Gorge Golf Course, which is located next to the site of a former resort, that previously had a Playboy Club in the 70s and 80s. The video shows the 27-hole golf course torn up from what appears to be tire tracks. "If you have any information on who did this please contact the Vernon Police Dept at 973-764-615," Rossi said.
