An 81-year-old driver from Fair Lawn received a summons after he knocked down a 48-year-old bicyclist from Hawthorne in Glen Rock, authorities said. A motorist was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when his sedan slammed head-on into a utility pole on Route 208. The airbags in his older-model Volkswagen Jetta deployed in the crash at Harristown Road off the northbound highway in Glen Rock shortly after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31. A Fair Lawn motorist was hospitalized following a Tuesday morning crash in Glen Rock, authorities said. A man who began serving a five-year sentence earlier this year for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Bergen County girl still faces related charges in his home state of Washington. Devin C. Curtis, 26, was originally arrested by authorities at his home in Clarkston, WA in June 2021. An elderly Hackensack couple were rescued after a mid-morning parking lot crash left their vehicle perched over a stream in Glen Rock, authorities said.
