Popular Grocery Chain Corrado's Market Shutters Wayne Location
Corrado's has closed its location in Wayne, the store confirmed to Daily Voice. The supermarket was located at 201 Berdan Ave. at the Point View Shopping Center and had been open since 2008. Corrado's still has markets in Fairfield, Denville and Clifton, according to its website. Corrado's did not give a reason for closing the Wayne location. A sign was taped to the front door announcing the closure, saying the decision was not taken lightly. "We understand the impact it may have on you," the sign said. "Please visit any of our stores for your specialty needs."

A group of towing and mechanic business owners in Bergen and Passaic had a lucrative moonlighting operation going before New Jersey State Police shut them down, authorities said. Workers at the off-hour chop shops in Paterson, Passaic and Elmwood Park altered stolen vehicles for resale and disassembled others to be sold as parts, state authorities said on Friday, June 2. A driver from Long Island who led police from several towns on a high-speed pursuit on and off Route 46 was seized after he ran out of gas, authorities said. Dover Woman Dies In Fairfield Crash
A 51-year-old Dover woman was killed in a Fairfield crash Tuesday, June 14, authorities said. Marina Prudencio was in a Chevy Cavalier that collided with a Mazda CX5 on on Passaic Avenue around 5:05 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Fairfield Police Chief Anthony Manna said. Prudencio was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the Mazda was transported to Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, where she was treated and released. No charges were filed. A 33-year-old pilot was pulled from his helicopter after a crash at the Essex County Airport Saturday, June 4, police said. The pilot was taking off and heading to pick up a private charter when the a 2015 Bell Model 407 began spinning around 100 to 150 feet in the air around noon, Fairfield police said.
