An early-morning crash involving a box truck brought a large emergency response to Route 80 in Bergen County Friday, June 21. Firefighters were called to the westbound lanes at milepost 65.5 just after 3:20 a.m., where a Mercedes Benz had rear-ended a box truck, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron. Firefighters found the victim was pinned inside the vehicle, and worked to remove the roof and door of the car. The patient was stabilized and removed, then treated by EMS on scene. Ejection, House Struck In Horrific Maywood Crash
An occupant was ejected when one SUV hit a house and another a utility pole in a fierce collision in Maywood, authorities said. One of the vehicles was knocked onto its side in the crash at the corner of East Passaic and Elm streets around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16. Two Teaneck men -- 28 and 20 years old -- were in one vehicle, responders said. A 25-year-old Bogota woman was driving the other, they said. Jet Skier Injured On Hudson
A jet skier required medical attention following a weekend accident on the Hudson River. The victim was brought to shore at Bloomers Beach near the northern boat basin near Henry Hudson Drive in Palisades Interstate Park in Englewood Cliffs around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16, responders said. Everyone got out OK and no injuries were reported after the fire ignited on the first floor near the back of the Hudson Avenue home off County Road shortly before 8:30 p.m. June 14. Edison police rescued a 21-year-old man who jumped off the Morris Goodkind Bridge, authorities said. The call came in shortly before 6:30 a.m. Monday, April 15 along Route 1 near the Raritan River Boat Club, Edison Deputy Chief Robert Dudash said.
