A 53-year-old man from Pennsylvania drowned while swimming at a Wildwood Crest beach, authorities said. Joel Green of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, was found unresponsice by other swimmers who pulled him from the water about 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, Tuesday Wildwood Crest police said. When police arrived, a beachgoer was performing CPR, police said. Hearts shattered when the news broke that a missing swimmer off the Wildwood coast from Pennsylvania was believed to have drowned late last month. Three swimmers were rescued or found their way out of the waters while Alfred Williams, 19, of Drexel Hill, remained missing Tuesday, May 31, Wildwood Police Chief Robert Regalbuto and Wildwood Fire Chief Ernie Troiano III said. Young Child Airlifted To Hospital After Near-Drowning In Bergen Backyard Pool
A young child was airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center after nearly drowning in a backyard pool in Mahwah late Wednesday afternoon. The boy, 3, was breathing on his own but unconscious when first responders arrived at the Wyckoff Avenue home near the Ramsey border. He regained consciousness, however, and was picked up by AirMed 1 at the nearby George Washington School field, witnesses said. No further information was immediately available.

A possible drowning victim was airlifted to a hospital Thursday morning, state police confirmed. NJSP and state park police responded to Swartswood State Park just before 10:15 a.m., Sgt. Philip Curry told DailyVoice.com. Initial reports stated that the victim was a male kayaker. The victim was taken to Newton Hospital before being airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, Curry said. The victim’s current condition was not known.
