Fleeing Driver Hits Officer, Arrested At Passaic County Costco: Police
A 27-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged after he struck a police officer while fleeing on Sunday, Oct. 20, authorities said.
While officers were conducting a traffic stop on Indian Road, it was discovered the driver, Liam Harrigan, had an active NCIC Warrant out of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Denville police said.
As officers attempted to take Harrigan into custody, he fled from them in his vehicle, police said. While fleeing, Harrigan struck a Denville police officer, leaving him with minor injuries, authorities said.

Rabid Coyote Found At Morris County Park
A coyote that tested positive for rabies was found at a Morris County park, authorities said.
The animal was found in Tourne County Park in Boonton and recently tested positive, Denville Police said in a release on Friday, July 29.
“We urge residents not to feed, approach or permit their pets to interact with coyotes or other animals which are potential carriers of rabies, particularly those which appear sick”, said Dr. Carlos Perez, Jr., Denville Township’s Health Officer.

Three young adults and one teen were arrested after being pulled over in a car with tools used to burglarize vehicles in Morris County, authorities said.
Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle on Shongum Road in Denville while responding to a report of a possible car burglary around 11:35 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, police said.
During questioning, officers allegedly saw several items commonly used to commit car burglaries.

Drunk Morris County Man Charged With Assault By Auto In Route 10 Crash: Police
A Morris County man was charged with assault by auto and several other offenses following a serious crash on Route 10, authorities said.
Bryan Ramirez, 36, was intoxicated and using his cell phone when he caused a crash with injuries on Route 10 west in Denville on Sunday, June 5, Denville Police said.
Ramirez, of Dover, was arrested and charged with assault by auto, DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, use of cellphone, and unsafe lane change, police said.
He was later released to a sober adult and is scheduled to appear in court.
