The ramen restaurant taking the area by storm has opened its sixth New Jersey location and has plans for three more. Ani Ramen House recently opened on Walnut Avenue in Cranford. : Cranford Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Double Shooting On Routes 1&9
A Cranford man was being held in the Union County Jail in connection with Sunday's double shooting on Routes 1&9, authorities said Monday. Andrew C. Johnson, 50, was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder and four related weapons offenses, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Linden Police Chief David Hart said jointly. Drive-In Movie Theater Coming To Cranford
Grab some friends and prepare your popcorn — The Cranford Theater's drive-in location has received township approval. The theater will begin selling tickets once an official announcement is made on its website. Sign up for email alerts here. Convicted Sex Offender From Cranford Admits Sharing Child Pornography Online
A 36-year-old Cranford man pleaded guilty Friday to distributing child pornography over the course of a few months last year, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. Christopher Gardiner, who also pleaded guilty to online enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual contact, had sexually graphic online chats between March and June 2018. He also shared videos depicting the sexual abuse of children in a chatroom, along with sending the videos to someone else. Cranford Man Charged With Breaking Into Several Police Vehicles, Stealing Vest, Patches, More
A 19-year-old Cranford man has been charged with breaking into several of township police vehicles last month, taking bulletproof vests, a gear bag and more, authorities said. Jake Fichiera broke the back windows of six vehicles parked overnight near the municipal building on July 28, police said. He rummaged through the items inside and tried breaking into a gun vault bolted into the trunk, they said.
