Lab Tech Charged With Assaulting Pre-Teen: Bergen Prosecutor
An accused child abuser from Saddle Brook had just been booked into the Bergen County Jail when a judge in Hackensack released him, records show. Victor Morales, a 32-year-old lab tech, “physically assaulted a child under the age of 13 years old who was in his care,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Saddle Brook police alerted his Special Victims Unit detectives to the child abuse report on Tuesday, Aug. 22, the prosecutor said. West Milford Man, 32, Accused Of Sexually Abusing Minor In Front Of Other Children
A 32-year-old West Milford man was charged with sexually abusing a child in the presence of two other youngsters. Michael Lemus was arrested without incident on Monday, Aug. 14, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said. It followed an investigation that began after West Milford police notified her Special Victims Unit in June, right after the alleged assault occurred at a residence in town, the prosecutor said. A 25-year-old Guatemalan national who lives in North Bergen was seized after sexually assaulting a pre-teen in neighboring Fairview, authorities charged. Angel Chavix, who works as a construction framer, became the subject of an investigation after the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office contacted their counterparts in late July, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. A registered sex offender who lives in Lodi was charged with sexually assaulting two children. Corey Hipscher, a 51-year-old delivery driver, sexually assaulted the under-16-year-old victims "on multiple occasions in Lodi," Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Hipscher was familiar to law enforcement. Criminal records show that he was convicted in Florida of false imprisonment and sexual battery of his then-girlfriend in 2002. A 69-year-old Whippany resident was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a minor in a parking lot, authorities said. Livingston officers responding to reports of suspicious activity in a car found Alan Kelsey, on Wednesday, Aug. 2, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said. Bail reform doesn't free everyone, apparently. A 19-year-old Dominican national from Clifton has remained held after being charged with sexually assaulting a pre-teen. A 49-year-old carpenter from Clifton sexually assaulted an underage teen in Englewood, authorities charged. Esmond A.
