Body Found Floating In NJ River
Police recovered a body from a New Jersey river early Thursday, Aug. 8, authorities said. Marine Service Troopers were dispatched to the Raritan River and South River in East Brunswick around 7:40 a.m., where they found a man's body floating in the water, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. No further information was provided. The incident remains under investigation.

Body Recovered From Passaic River: Newark Police
A man's body was recovered from the Passaic River on the morning of Thursday, June 15, authorities said. At 8:06 a.m. police responded to the 700 block of Raymond Boulevard/Riverbank Park on a call of a body in the Passaic River, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Officers found and recovered the body, and the male victim was pronounced dead soon after, Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.

Fire department boats were summoned to the Hillery Street Bridge in Totowa, where a large number of police and Passaic County sheriff's officers had gathered around 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7. Authorities have released details in the body that was recovered from the Rockaway River Monday morning. UPDATE: A body recovered Thursday afternoon from the Hackensack River was that of a Bogota man who went missing last week, responders said. He'd been in the water for several days, they said. Responders recovered a man's body from the Passaic River Wednesday afternoon. Passaic police notified surrounding agents of the body first seen floating south of the Monroe Street Bridge around 4 p.m., Garfield Police Chief Raymond Kovach said. This story has been updated. HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Authorities recovered a female body from the Hackensack River on Sunday, local police said. First responders arrived just after 10 a.m. following a report of an unidentified body in the water behind the Shops at Riverside, authorities said. The body was recovered at 12:20 p.m., Hackensack Lt. Darrin Dewitt told Daily Voice.
