: Officers Revive Man At NJ Shooting Range
Three North Jersey officers are being hailed as heroes for performing life-saving measures on a man at a local gun range. Secaucus officer Philip Caruso found the 59-year-old victim without a pulse and not breathing when he arrived at Long Shot Gun Range around 8:30 a.m. June 12, Chief Dennis Miller said. Caruso began CPR as officers Matthew Kirvin and Kristen Bronowich arrived, and assisted. Police in Morris County were at the scene “within seconds” to save the life of a man who went into cardiac arrest at a local high school last week, authorities said. Madison Police received a report that a 50-year-old resident had lost consciousness while playing tennis at the high school just before 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 8, authorities said. A trio of Madison police officers jumped to action to save a 61-year-old construction worker who stopped breathing Saturday, authorities said. Police were called to Orchard Street after the man went unconscious while working in a home shortly after 12:30 p.m., authorities said. An off-duty New Jersey State Trooper who once saved a woman from a knife-wielding man in a car revived another woman who had collapsed and stopped breathing in a restroom at the Prudential Center over the weekend, authorities said. HEROES: A 62-year-old warehouse manager at Mahwah's Center for Food Action site was in full cardiac arrest when a group of township police officers responded last July. Referee At Emerson Football Game Revived After Heart Attack
A referee who suffered a heart attack during an Emerson junior varsity football game on Monday was doing well after being resuscitated, officials said. The referee "went into cardiac arrest and collapsed onto the field," Schools Supt. Brian P. Gatens said in a message to parents and staff.
