Newly-released footage shows the terrifying moment one of two rookie, Newark police officers were shot by a sniper Tuesday, Nov. 1 (scroll for video). UPDATE: Kendall Howard, the accused East Orange sniper wanted for shooting two Newark police officers, has been captured after a massive search, sources tell Daily Voice. A judge in Hackensack denied the release of a career criminal accused of stabbing another man in Teaneck. Jacob Gibbs, 26, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and illegal weapons possession in the stabbing at the recently opened One500 luxury apartment complex on Teaneck Road shortly before 4 p.m. Nov. 1.
