Babysitter, 69, Caught On Camera Beating Bergen Infant: Police, Dad
A 69-year-old babysitter was caught on camera punching and beating a crying 14-month-old infant in Wallington, authorities confirmed, and now an anguished father is warning other parents.
Barbara Skrzypczynska had taken the baby for a walk when the authorities were called early Tuesday, May 23, Wallington Police Chief Carmello J. Imbruglia said.
They were headed toward her own home in the nearby Mount Pleasant Village Apartments when Officer Richard Ray found them, he said.
The officer brought the Polish national and the baby back to the Johnson Avenue house, Imbruglia said.

Lodi Man Who Fled Auto Assault Nabbed After Going To Look For Victim In ER: Teaneck PD
A Lodi man deliberately hit a Teaneck woman with his car, fled the scene, then was arrested when he went to the hospital to look for her, authorities said.
Manuel Augusto, 30, of Lodi, deliberately reversed his car into the victim, knocking her down, as she stood in her driveway following an argument shortly after 1:30 a.m. last Friday, May 5, Police Chief Andrew R. McGurr said.
Then he drove off, the chief said.

A Fairleigh Dickinson University senior wanted for repeatedly assaulting a woman in his dorm room was jailed after Teaneck police who went there found a loaded gun, authorities said.
