Berkeley students in Paramus and Woodland Park made and donated blankets to Project Linus, an organization that assists critically ill children.
At Berkeley College in Woodbridge, there will be a presentation titled “Non-Violence and the Buddhism Connection” at the student center on Tuesday, Jan. 19. The program will attempt to explain King’s non-violence stance on civil disobedience and show similarities with various Buddhist philosophies.
The Berkeley College community in Clifton is collecting nonperishable food and baby items for women and children in need at the Oasis Women’s Shelter in Paterson, while the college’s communities in Dover and Newark will provide their service to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside on Friday, Jan. 22.
