Fifty-eight percent like Trump's pick while 48 percent believe Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton selected well with Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia.
Comments were fairly benign with some pointing out how each chose someone with complementary features. Others were a tad more frank with their opinions. Wrote one reader: "Pence is much too conservative for my taste. His evangelistic thrust is very harmful to women" while another wrote "I love Tim Kaine. I could vote for him for POTUS, after Hillary's second term."
