Neither faced life-threatening injuries in the 7 a.m. crash near the intersection of Goffle Road and Ravine Avenue, police said.
Traffic in both directions of Goffle Road was slowed considerably while emergency crews worked to free the victims and clear the debris.
The SUV driver was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and the Civic driver to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson.
One flatbed tow truck removed both vehicles.
Wyckoff police were at the scene investigating the accident, directing traffic and assisting with care of the victims.
