Yousef Eshak, 19, was taken into custody after Detective Sgt. Scott Rappaport found a girl whose family provided “two years of threatening and intimidating text messages,” Capt. Laurence Martin said.
Eshak also “followed the victims and appeared at school functions,” continuing the activity after being told to stop, “causing emotional distress,” Martin said.
He also made threats through cellphones and social media against the victims, as well as their families and friends, he said.
Police were called to the area of Worcester Drive on Oct. 6 found the keyed car with “several deep scrapes along the driver’s side from the rear fender well and across both the rear passenger and driver’s doors,” Martin said. “The marks were in an X pattern.”
The investigation followed.
Eshak was released on a summons pending a hearing on charges of stalking and threatening the male and female victims, the captan said.
Martin asked that anyone with information that could help the investigation contact Rappaport at (973) 633-3528 or the main number at HQ: (973) 633-3530.
