The victim told police that the assailants tried to stab him during a dispute outside Terminal 8 yesterday, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said this afternoon.
One of the two — identified as 30-year-old Junior Rowe of Woodhaven — ran to a Ford Taurus and sped off, nearly hitting the officers, Pentangelo said.
They caught up to him in traffic moments later and took him into custody, he said.
They arrested the second suspect, Wayne Walker, 41, of Springfield Gardens after finding a knife on the floor of his car, Pentangelo said.
Witnesses told police that Walker “chased and menaced the victim” with the knife during the incident, he said.
Rowe was charged with attempted assault on a police officer, menacing, reckless endangerment, obstruction and disorderly conduct.
Walker was charged with menacing, weapons possession, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
