Trucker sex charge involves 15 year old girl

She’s only 15, he’s 47, and prosecutors say the married truck driver from Lodi broke the law when he touched her. Richard Diggs is being held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated sexual contact and child endangerment.

Investigators from the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Diggs today in Lodi, where Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said the incident happened.

Diggs, who works for Hudson Trucking in Little Falls, is due for a first court appearance Thursday afternoon in Lodi Municipal Court. A judge ordered he have no contact with the girl.
