Transformer falls near children’s playground

ONLY ON CLIFFVIEW PILOT: No one was injured when a transformer fell to the street perilously close to a children’s playground, cutting power to part of Woodland Park and closing the main thoroughfare through town.

The transformer fell from the utility police just before 7 o’clock last night.

Police closed Mount Pleasant Avenue until utility crews could tend to the damage.
