News accounts published in Daily Voice and elsewhere sought the public’s help identifying the blue Ford F-150 with stickers on the cab that struck the 29-year-old Passaic woman near Madison and 16th avenues on Sept. 27.
These led to the arrest of 46-year-old Robert Sciubba of Randolph, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief William Fraher announced.
“An anonymous call was made to the TIPS line, providing the information which led to the arrest of Sciubba,” they said.
A judge ordered him held on $35,000 bail on charges of knowingly leaving the scene of a crash resulting in serious bodily injury.
The pedestrian has since been released after being treated for serious injuries at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center and was recovering, they said.
Anyone with additional information about the crash was asked to contact the Paterson Police Department-Detective Bureau at (973) 321-1120 or the tips line at: 1-877-370-PCPO or: tips@passaiccountynj.org.
