The woman told police she approached by the boy, who began talking with her on Lake Avenue near the Botany Square Shopping Center around noon Tuesday before pushing her, yanking the purse away and running off with it, Sgt. Robert Anderson said.
"No weapon was used or threatened, and the victim was not injured," he said.
Anderson asked that anyone who might have seen something or has information that can help find whoever was responsible contact the Clifton Police Juvenile Division: (973) 470-5882.
