Suspicion is that the victim was homeless and snuck in after the Washington Street building was boarded up after a fire in 1979, the Tuesday morning report says.
A medical examiner would have to conduct an autopsy as part of an effort to determine cause of death, how long the body was there -- and possibly who it is, it says.
The remains were found around 5:15 p.m. Monday during an inspection for the building's new owners, Capt. Richard Reyes told NorthJersey.com.
