Police: Clifton Driver, 33, Critical After Utility Pole Crash

CLIFTON, N.J. -- A 33-year-old Clifton driver was hospitalized in critical condition after being ejected from his car when it crashed into a telephone pole overnight Monday, authorities told Daily Voice.

The driver was alone in the vehicle when the crash occurred around 3 a.m. on Lakeview Avenue near East 3rd Street, Lt. Robert Bracken said.

He was taken to St Joseph' s Regional Medical Center in Paterson in critical condition, Bracken said.

The Clifton Police Traffic Division was investigating, he said.
