Two of the robbers, "dressed in dark clothing with face masks" walked in, pointed a gun at the clerk and fled with $100, he said.
That very next morning, a 7-Eleven off McLean Boulevard by the Tenth Avenue Circle was robbed at gunpoint by three bandits who hopped the counter, forced the clerk to open the register and made two customers lie on the ground, the director said.
The trio fled with $500, he said.
They struck again less than a week later, this time at another 10th Avenue bodega a few blocks from the first.
Three robbers -- two wielding handguns -- went back the counter, where two employees were working, and took $120.
"The brazen robbers then rifled through one of the employees pockets taking his cell phone before leaving on foot," Speziale said.
That same bodega was robbed months earlier by a juvenile who took $50 at gunpoint, he said.
Justin Z. Robinson, 19, of Paterson, was charged with robbery, conspiracy and weapons possession. He remained held in the Passaic County Jail.
The juveniles were served with delinquency complaints accusing them of the same crimes.
A third juvenile was taken into custody and served with a complaint in connection with last summer's holdup of the second bodega.
