Berdnik pulled 94,372 votes (63%), nearly doubling the 50,515 (41%) for Republican challenger Frank Feenan.

Darren C. Woolridge, an unaffiliated late entry into the race, got 4,569 -- 3%. There were also 58 write-ins at that point.

Berdnik joined fellow Democrats Terry Duffy and Pat Lepore on the freeholder board and Surrogate Judge Bernice Tolelo in winning re-election without breaking a sweat.
